While the Gnörf Ýarbomyn are intended for use as paper miniatures for fantasy gnome or dwarf archers, they also have their own strange and peculiar story...
Gnörf Ýarbomyn are the championship archers of the Gnörf peoples. Each is armed with a Ýarbo - a unique hand-crafted bow created from a living plant, weilded, tended and cared for by the individual Gnörf, a cross between a portable bonsai tree, symboitic life form and living weapon.
The traditional use of a Ýarbo is not warfare, but rather for seed dispersal of various hard wood trees and fruiting shrubs to aid in forest and woodland cultivation. Various agricultural sports, long shooting, target shooting have developed around these practices. Alongside the care of the Ýarbo these Gnörves are well practiced in the foraging crafts, finding and cunningly shaping fallen twigs and branches into arrowshafts, fashioning living nuts and seeds into arrowheads, and leaf litter into fletching.
